Oh wow. Sorry for not posting on here in a little while. Honestly that whole October thing burned me out… probably because I didn’t plan ahead at all and had to write all that on the spot. Poor planning = Bad. Anyway, in the time since, I have posted a few things on Zelda Dungeon that I’ll post up some links to. First up is two editorials that I posted between Axle’s Dungeon Reflections posts. They’re both Favorite Zelda Moments editorials:

Favorite Zelda Moments: Entering the Dark World
Favorite Zelda Moments: Guards Duck Out of Helping Ilia

Entering the Dark World for the first time gave me the shivers the first time I played that game. It wasn’t that it was unexpected; I had read the Zelda manga in Nintendo Power before I ever got my hands on a copy of the game, so I knew it was coming the moment Agahnim fell. It was the sudden, jarring CHANGE that gave me a chill. You went from this gorgeous, colourful Light World, where even the enemies looked cute and happy, to this somber-toned land with a pounding dark beat that seemed to say “Bad things have happened, and this is just the beginning of them.” It made me nervous, it set my heart to pounding, and I loved every single second of it. It’s just one of the many, many reasons A Link to the Past is my second-favourite Zelda game. 🙂

Oh, hey, I think this is the first time I’ve commented on this site! Glad to have broken myself in with a comment on a game I love so much. 😀
