Ah, The Legend of Korra, the long-awaited sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender. I was just as impatient waiting for it as a lot of other people were, so when the premiere aired, I was excited. But just how good was the series so far? I realize it’s been a while since Season 1 ended, but the show is still fresh on peoples’ minds; plenty of people are still viewing the show for the first time, and even those who caught the original airing are still talking about it in fan communities, so it’s still a relevant topic in my eyes. Sometime soon I’ll also do a review of the original Avatar series, but for now, here is my review of The Legend of Korra. Continue reading
You might have seen me bring this up on my personal Twitter and on Facebook, but I’ve recently resumed activity on my previously very inactive Ghirahim character Twitter feed, @Lord_Ghirahim. On this feed I basically tweeted 100% in-character as if I was Ghirahim, making general statements and updates while replying to people who talk to “Ghirahim”.
I also recently just started up a new character Twitter feed, Amon from Legend of Korra (@Leader_Amon). Both of these feeds should be pretty active from here on out. So check them both out!
I was looking for something else related to Legend of Korra while surfing through some Korra fansites, and I noticed this old bit of news from before the show premiered that some of you might have seen before, but was certainly news to me: Scroll to the bottom of the post where it talks about the “Future of the Series”.
First off, there’s no way they won’t net more seasons. This show is glorious and will be extremely popular… guaranteed. But if what they say is true, that means that Amon and the Equalists are temporary, and won’t be series-spanning like the Fire Nation was. My initial sadness at only having the Equalists for so long is counteracted by excitement for a constantly changing series. This could be very cool. It also explains why they’re going through the Equalist plotline at such a brisk pace; they’ve revealed things much quicker than they did with the Fire Nation.
Side note, on Avatar Wiki’s page for Amon, under Trivia, there is a crapload of creepy potential name origins for the guy. xD
Brief post just to mention that I put up the Articles page, which you can also get to in the site’s navigation. This is a single page (which will be regularly updated) that links to all my articles on all sites, including an archive of all of them on this one (although there’s only one on here so far). Actually, when I was making it, nostalgia hit me pretty hard since I realized just how many articles I’ve written since I started writing them.
Also, changed the site’s background image. This one’s of Legend of Korra. What do you think? It’s likely these images will change often to fit what I’m into or what I’m covering the most at the time.
(For the record, more pages like the Articles one will go up soon, so you can look forward to that. :3 )
Last night I uploaded a video on my YouTube channel about Legend of Korra, so you should check that out if you haven’t yet. First video in a while, so that’s cool. Link here or you can continue reading for the embed. Continue reading
